Hi, I am having burning sensation, inflammation in stomach and discomfort in chest (especially in the night). I had endoscopy two weeks back and the report showed nothing and my doc said Indigestion. I have been using Nexpro 20 mg for two weeks and still I have these issues even though I am taking very less spicy foods. Pls help me what could be the issue.

Dear Lybrateuser, - Along with medication you should take some dietary precautions:- avoid fried, spicy, sour & junk food, also restrict tea, coffee intake to 1-2 cups per day if you have more, avoid gas forming foods such as dairy products, beans, legumes, pulses, raw onion, garlic, tomatoes, chocolates, aerated drinks, broccoli, kale in vegetables - chew your food well, donot skip meals, have meals on time, have 4-5 small meals including snacks rather than three large meals for proper digestion, take a walk for 5-10 min after meals, have a light dinner at least 2-3 hrs before bedtime - have plenty of oral fluids including 8-10 glasses of water for proper digestion - continue with medication.
