I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia and depression for more than 15 years. I have been on different medications and had stopped taking medicines for some years in between. After multiple relapse, I am right now on tolaz 10 mg and rexipra20 mg before sleep and pacitane during the mornings. I have been on this dosage for more than 6 months. I would like to know when these medications will be reduced as my doctor has said that I have to concentrate on recovery instead of asking questions like when the medicines will be stopped. Due to multiple relapses in between in these 15 years, the doctor has said that the medicines might have to be taken for life time. My major problem is the muscle contractions, a pull feeling in the muscles of both my legs, and diarrhoea which are hampering my normal behaviour.

Hi along with medication you need to go for psychotherapy sessions with a clinical psychologist for both the features. Main is the thought process you need to work onto. And when you make your thought process strong despite of thinking when I will improve or how much time it will take focus on therapy and the negative or false thought patterns will be fading off slowly or you will learn to handle when those thoughts are coming. Regards.
