My cousin is 14 years, not had menarche yet. She has body changes like breast development, pubic hair. Her LH level is 1.16, FSH 3.6, TSH and FT4 and prolactin normal. Pelvic ultrasound shows a simple cyst in right ovary of 3.5 cm. Should this be investigated further? Should she need any meds to get menarche? Is there any serious problem?

Hi, Cyst in right ovary of 3.5 cm. It's a normal cyst or any other issue? Is because of hormonal imbalances like PCOD or THYROID or any other hormones. So once consult a gynaecologist she can examine physically and let you know what happened then advise investigations.

Wait for 2 years ,if she does not attain menarche till 16 years then she needs to be investigated. Regarding ovarian cyst ,simple cyst <5 cm in adolescent girls need no treatment, they resolve spontaneously. You can get her ultrasound repeated after 6 months to see if cyst has resolved or not.
