Sleeplessness since 4 years, anxiety,depression, falling asleep during day but unable to sleep during night, addicted to benadryl heavy dosages to get sleep since 4 years it helped initially but now it is not, if I quit benadryl withdrawal symptoms like nausea, restlessness,fatigue and continuous vivid dreams, tried zolfresh randomly and that too is not working now, please prescribe a proper plan and medicine to get my sleep back and sleep normally and a wayvto quit benadryl, tired after sleep.

Hi lybrate-user! You should actually undergo treatment for anxiety, depression and other problems from a professional Psychologist at your locality as little or online Psychologist for the same. There will not be improvement or cure for these Psychological problem by taking Benadryl, this will actually worsen the symptoms, you would have found beneficial in the beginning but later on it would lead to an addiction only, but the symptoms will never disappear until otherwise you undergo treatment for the same. Definitely you can overcome this problem of anxiety, depression etc. But provided you undergo treatment under Professional guidance.
