I got ultrasound last month and it shows 11 mm stone and today I got ultrasound again and it shows two stones of 14 and 8 mm. Is it possible for stones to develop that quickly? I do not have any pain? Is this ultrasound error?

Hi lybrate-user, since ultrasonography is an operator dependant procedure, meaning it depends upon who is performing the USG, it is quite possible for missing a stone sometimes on the scan. Nevertheless if both the scans do suggest that you've kidney stone, mostly you do have it. Just take the necessary precautions for it and review in sometime. Hope it helped.
