To eliminate chronic anxiety & fear from mind, Are medicines useful? Can we eliminate our own anxiety & fear on our own by not taking medicines? What do medicines do? Can't we dispel stress by resolving in mind that anxiety & stress shouldn't be taken because they cause harm?

Hi lybrate-user, You have posed very good questions. Anxiety and fear are inter- related and one can lead to another. I always say that we can become friends with our mind. We just need to learn to quiten it first. I would suggest mindfulness meditation and deep breathing. Clinical hypnotherapy is also very effective. Medication is to help you manage the problem but counselling and other interventions help you deal with the core issue. Hope this helps. Good luck!
