My daddy's (78 years old) firs sugar report done today shows a reading on fasting as 239 and post eating 445. Kindly suggest diet plan for him.

So please initiate appropriate treatment first and bring the glucose under control. Then one can look at the diet. To suggest specific diet I need all the details like present diet, extent of physical activity, glucose levels, HbA1c%, weight and height. Thanks.
