Osteopytes at c5 c6 is the sign of degeneration. It means your cervical vertebrae are degenerate. Its due to ageing or due to unusable use of neck .you should correct your posture, do regular mobility exercise and stretching exercise of neck. If you have some other symptoms like numbness and tingling sensation in shoulder ,hand and finger then you required MRI. But MRI is not a treatment is just a diagnosis.
