The least dangerous of the hepatitis viruses to affect the liver, Hepatitis E is a condition that people generally recover from quickly if it has not developed into its acute form. It is usually transmitted by consumption of water or food contaminated with the stool of an infected person or by consuming undercooked meat. It can also be transmitted if someone touches an infected pig. In most cases, it is unlikely for a person to get affected by hepatitis E more than once during his/her lifetime.
HOW IS HEPATITIS E DIAGNOSED?
