An inherited disease which leads to the formation of blisters on the surface of the skin, is known as Hailey-Hailey Disease. It is more frequently seen/found on the folds of the skin and appear as an outburst of rashes and blisters. It is more of a repetitive and continuous process where the blisters appear, the skin get infected and then reappear on the new, raw skin. Haploinsufficiency of an enzyme known as ATP2C1 leads to this condition in an individual. It can be diagnosed by Candidiasis, intertrigo and frictional or contact dermatitis.

Stress can also be held responsible for triggering such skin outbreaks.
