Antibiotic Associated Diarrhea is a medical disorder in which a person experiences symptoms like loose stools, frequent bowel movements and an abnormal digestive system. These symptoms mainly arise due to taking antibiotics in excessive amounts or being on antibiotics that are strong in nature. The common symptoms are fever, abdominal pain and bloody diarrhea (blood in stool).
HOW IS ANTIBIOTIC ASSOCIATED DIARRHEA DIAGNOSED?
Taking probiotics during antibiotic treatment may reduce the risk of diarrhea in people who've had antibiotic-associated diarrhea caused by C. difficile in the past.
