Unfortunately, we don't get vitamin d from food, unless it's fortified with it. If you have exposure to the sun during the morning hours and are reasonably active, your levels may be sufficient. However, since vitamin d absorption needs direct exposure of skin to sunlight (overexposure runs risk of skin cancer), many individuals are deficinent.

However, I would like to know the following: current t3, t4 & tsh levels (26 that you are mentioning is it tsh?) and if you have done anti tpo antibodies test please inform the details. Also it is better to look at your lipids (cholesterol levels). On seeing all the details I will be able to give correct advise. Another important aspect is levothyroxine tablet has to be always taken early morning on empty stomach and nothing sho...more

Hi
becosule contains only 15 mcg of methylcobalamine (b12) but also has other vitamin b complexes. So it should be fine to take both of them. Also at yoyears age, I would advice you to start taking calcium and d3 after going for dexa scan as with age, calcium and d3 deficiencies are common cause of weak bones. Regards.

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details given. Her tsh level is definitely lower than lab limit mentioned. Hence, it is better if dosage is reduced by 12.5 mcg to 112.5 mcg per day. Please remember after reducing the dosage (after every dosage change) there is need to check thyroid profile after 6 to 8 weeks to see if the desired change is achieved. In a well controlled patient tsh should remain around 2 to3 or 4 mu/l and t4 in normal range. If you have any questions please do c...more

Multi vitamins should be taken only if you have any severe nutritional deficiencies, while blood pressure problem won't require any multi vitamins. You can take diet consultation from me for blood pressure management or any other nutritional deficiency or boosting immunity. It is always better to take food as your medicine rather than medicine being your food for the day. Book your diet consultation now.
