Unfortunately, we don't get vitamin d from food, unless it's fortified with it. If you have exposure to the sun during the morning hours and are reasonably active, your levels may be sufficient. However, since vitamin d absorption needs direct exposure of skin to sunlight (overexposure runs risk of skin cancer), many individuals are deficinent.

Best time to have sunlight exposure is from 6.30 am to 10.30 am for half an hour. Also take d-rise 60k capsules once per week for 8 weeks and neuromart forte tablet once daily for 30 days.

The approximate daily dose of vit. D for children between is 600 i.u. Since vit d is fat soluble vitamin and gets stored in body. Proper dosage is to be decided by child specialist after proper examination. Normally children are given vit d in the form of oral drops. Sachets of 60,000 iu are given in adults after finding vit d levels in the blood. And only if found necessary.
