Diet and exercise play important roles in management of PCOD but that is not enough. One needs to address the underlying metabolic and hormonal imbalances.
Treatment should not only manage immediate symptoms but also consider long term implications.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
When on treatment for hypothyroidism with adequate dose of Levothyroxine TSh should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L, to be free f rom all the symptoms of that condition. Hence, TSh 7.62 mU/l is high, the dose of thyroxine needs to be increased. Thanks.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
TSH 10.3 mU/L, needs treatment with levothyroxine in proper dosage. Treatment hst be for the lifetime. With treatment you should maintain TSH around 3 to 4 mU/L. At that level all the symptoms are in complete check. You will have to take the tablet in the early morning on empty stomach, nothing to be taken after that for at least 1 to 1 and half hour. You will have to avoid soy beans and soy containing products. Thanks.

Thanks for the query.
TSH 8.16 mU/L, is considered as sub-clinical hypothyroidism, there is no treatment advocated at this level. However, if there are troublesome symptoms present then treatment can be initiated. If treatment is advocated it is better to take the whole tablet as half tablet is unlikely to give specific quantity. Thanks.
