Since it is a stray dog, and you cannot keep a watch on this dog for 10 days from the date of bite, no one can guarantee that dog is not infected. Since rabies has no treatment to be on safer side it is advised that you take total 5 doses of rabies cellular vaccine at the earliest.

Under circumstanced described are extremely unusual where dog must have rabies. The aerosol like transmission should have rabies virus.
