Stiffness in knees can be quite disabling. Sitting in cross legged position and squatting should be avoided. Calcium suppliment can be taken without any harm. Use hot fomentation and diclofenac gel. After surgery knee rehabilitation is very important which has to be taken for 6 weeks with four different phase of exercises. Specific knee exercises will also help ie. Keeping ball underneath the knee and keep pressing it. That's the simple exercise which will help you to strengthen the knee.
