You can ask your dentist or physician for some anti salivation drugs. Or you can go for bananas with milk in the night.
Be sure to have constipation if you try to stop the salivation by medicine.
You may also feel dry mouth.

Hi lybrate-user,
visit your nearest dentist for restoration (filling) of the cavity. Your dentist will evaluate the extent of the cavity and suggest you the treatment (filling or rct). For the time being you can use any over the counter available anti sensitivity toothpaste like sensodyne rapid relief/ hydent k/ ra thermoseal. Clean the cavity by rinsing your mouth after every meal and brush your teeth twice daily after meals.

Visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally and brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

No. Filled cavities are not contagious. Improper maintenance can cause tooth decay. Tooth decay is caused by bacteria in the mouth using sugar from foods and drinks to produce acids that dissolve and damage the teeth.

Good evening! kindly use cold ice pack slightly and ask him to open little by little. It is like giving his mouth an exercise to improve. If there is a clicking sound and jaw joint is stucking or giving any problem. It is better to visit a maxillo-facial surgeon in person. Thank you!

Dear Lybrate user,
the home remedies only work by helping modify the response to chemical and physical insult to your mouth/ oral cavity only for a short period. The period depends on body to body. Although, ultimately there is no other choice than to consult a dentist. The sooner. The better. Doing an xray and sending the copy should be the first line of action suggested from our team. For further queries sm 158e is the doctor's personal code.
