My partner has two cavities and I read that they are contagious. He has gotten his cavities filled now. Can filled cavities still be contagious?

No. Filled cavities are not contagious. Improper maintenance can cause tooth decay. Tooth decay is caused by bacteria in the mouth using sugar from foods and drinks to produce acids that dissolve and damage the teeth.
