What is the remedy about?

A part of your natural aging process, wrinkles occur as a result of thin and sagging skin. It could be also due to other factors like excessive stress, smoking, and drugs when exposed to harsh sunlight, a sudden fluctuation in weight or genetic issues. There are several home remedies that can help to reduce your existing wrinkles and also prevent the formation of new ones:

  • Olive oil has a good content of antioxidants, for example, vitamins A and E. Massaging the area affected with wrinkles moisturizes, repairs as well as regenerates the skin cells. You can also mix a few drops of honey and glycerine to the olive oil and massage your skin with the mixture. It helps in eliminating the dead cells and tightens your sagged skin.
  • Ginger serves to be a brilliant anti-wrinkle remedy because of the high content of antioxidants in it. Ginger helps in breaking down elastin, which is one of the main reasons of wrinkles. You can have ginger tea or grate ginger and have it with honey regularly.
  • The malic acid present in Aloe Vera helps in improving your skin’s elasticity, which helps in reducing your wrinkles. Apply the gel once you extract it from the plant, and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. You can wash it off with warm water.
  • Bananas have a high content minerals, vitamins and antioxidants that the fight the reasons causing your wrinkles and fine lines. Take two ripe bananas and mash it into a thick paste. Apply it in the affected areas and leave it on for 30 minutes. After that, you can wash it off using warm water.
  • Lemon contains citric acid, which is a strong exfoliant that can help you get rid of your dead skin cells. Also an astringent and a cleansing agent, it helps to fade your wrinkles and fine lines. You can gently rub a lemon slice in your wrinkled skin and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with water afterward and repeat this process two to three times in a day.

Using these home remedies can have the possible side effects:

  • Going overboard while using olive oil on your face may lead to acne and pimples as it can clog the pores of your skin, while trapping all the dust and the dirt.
  • Some people may experience heartburn, discomfort in stomach or diarrhea if they consume ginger in large quantities. In case of women, there can be a possibility of extra bleeding during menstruation.
  • Continuous and regular use of aloe vera gel may at times lead to allergic reactions or skin inflammation.
  • As lemon has highly acidic properties, it may cause irritation in the skin, hyperpigmentation or sensitivity towards the sun. Apart from that, if you have a cut or bruise in your skin, applying lemon juice can cause a stinging effect.

Do you know the sun is making your skin age faster? plus, 5 other reasons behind facial wrinkles

Facial wrinkling occurs when the skin develops creases, folds and ridges. The formation of wrinkles is a normal part of the process of skin ageing. However, certain factors may accelerate the process and lead to premature wrinkling of the face and other parts of the body.

The main causes of facial wrinkling are:

1. Skin ageing:
as a person gets older, his/her skin becomes less taut and begins to sag. The production of natural oils and fat in the deeper layers of the skin gets reduced with age, which leads to the formation of wrinkles due to diminished skin elasticity.

2. Sun exposure: constant exposure of skin to the sun causes damage and speeds up the ageing process. The harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun break down collagen and collective tissue fibres, which is the primary cause of premature wrinkling.

3. Skin complexion: due to the absence of melanin, people with fairer (lighter) skin, experience more damage due to sun exposure. This causes them to develop wrinkles much earlier.

4. Facial muscle contraction: repeatedly making the same facial expressions and contraction of face muscles causes wrinkling. Those who constantly frown, smile or squint get facial wrinkles as it leads to reduced skin elasticity.

5. Smoking: smokers are more susceptible to premature wrinkling. This is due to the presence of nicotine, tar and other chemicals from the smoke in the bloodstream, which hamper the supply of blood and oxygen to the outer layers of skin.

6. Genetic factors: many people get facial wrinkling as a result of hereditary causes and family genetics.

However, the good news is that facial wrinkling can be prevented through these simple ways:

Sun protection

This is the most effective way of avoiding wrinkles. Keep yourself protected against sun exposure by staying out of the sun as much as possible and wearing sunscreen at all times.

Quitting the smoke

Kicking the habit will show a marked improvement in your skin quality and would help prevent further wrinkling.

Use of moisturisers

Dry skin is more prone to wrinkling. Keeping your skin supple and moisturised prevents wrinkles.

Leading a healthy lifestyle

The combination of following a nutritious diet, drinking plenty of water, getting enough sleep and regularly exercising keeps the skin young and wrinkle-free.

Treatment options:

There are several options to improve wrinkles by procedures which include botox, fillers, prp and lasers for skin tightening. The most suitable option can be chosen depending upon the severity and type of wrinkling.

Dandruff is a common scalp condition that is usually chronic but not contagious (unless caused by infection). Formation of dry, white flakes of dead skin on hair and scalp is dandruff. It may also be accompanied by itching and burning sensation.

Those with oily skin are more prone to this problem because it is often a mild form of seborrheic dermatitis.

Dandruff is caused by:

- cold, dry weather

- sensitivity to hair products
- conditions like eczema and psoriasis
- hormonal changes

- a diet lacking in zinc and b vitamins

Try these home remedies to get rid of dandruff:

Home remedy 1

- add half the amount of lemon juice in it.
- mix them thoroughly.

Home remedy 3
- take 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar.
- add an equal amount of water.
- add 15-20 drops of tea tree oil.
- mix the ingredients well.
- massage your scalp with the mixture.
- rinse after a few minutes.

Homeopathy Constitutional Remedies
Know how Homeopathy constitutional remedies can cure Chronic cases

Hi, I m Dr. Monty Talwar, practicing in Gurgaon, I have an experience of about 20 years in homeopathy, I practice classical homeopathy wherein we take into account the patient s nature and temperament especially in chronic cases. The constitutional cases are very deep-acting and they will stimulate the immune system of the patient. Thereby, the patient s body fights on its own, so we are not providing a continuous stimulus or a medicine from outside as the body takes charge of itself.

The example in thyroid cases, especially in hypothyroidism when we give the constitutional medicine it stimulates the thyroid gland so that it starts secreting the hormone on its own. As a result, the patient can be off the thyroid medicine. Similarly, in frequent colds and coughs in children where they fall sick too often, so these medicines build up the immunity of the child, so that they do not fall sick that often. Because of this individualistic approach, homeopathy is considered to be a holistic science.

Acidity - Causes & Remedies
Hello!

I am Dr. Malvika Pandey. Ayurveda doctor. Working in Bnchy Wellness Medispa.

Here I am to discuss something about a very common health problem that is acidity. In Ayurveda, this is understood as Amlipitam. This diseases is very common in today s generation because of the common issues which are propounding it lari vari shari kari. Acidity is due to more excess, excess of acid production in gastrointestinal tract overs. Normally the pH of stomach remains acidic. But in hyper acidic condition it gets escalated. For this it results in the conditions like heartburns, dyspepsia, belching and sometime bloating of stomach. Which can be easily seen and felt by the patient as symptoms and doctor can examine in the form of science.

The basic reasons for acidity is stressful conditions, we are living in, and insufficient sleeps, irregular way of taking meals. And also the suppression of our urges. These all conditions lead to aggravation of dosha, basically the pita dosha. And the stomach which is basically concern with the pita dosha is affected the most. And also the first part of intestine that is the duodenum which is very much involved in this. And the basic symptoms which occur in this diseases are belching. Heart burn, bloating heaviness of the stomach itching. Headache and even in the later stages it can seen as ulceration.

So how can we cure this disease? The thing which is very important in Ayurveda is prevention is better than cure. So better to prevent it. Better to get into the things which can check the excess of pita dosha which is known as the pit prokap ahar vehar. We should check it on. For this in Ayurveda we are getting two ways. It can be saan shodhan chikatsha, it can be sanshaman chikatsha. In sanshaman chikatsha which is basically concerned with suppression of the aggravated doshas. In this the pit shamak oshadi like, the yashti madhu, the shadang pani of course they are included in the diet of the patient. And vehara the things which areegated pita like kordha, kama. All the thing which increases the pita should be contained. And in the saan shodhan chikatsha, we do the eradication of dosha. In sanshaman, we suppress the dosha. In saan shodhan we eradicate the dosha out from the body by the usage of panchakarma chikatsha. Which is compressing of sneehan sheden waman geychannan basti.

For this pit dosha. It is basically concerned with the verachan chikatsha. In this the proper procedure of sneehan sheden. Then vaman is given to the patient. Vaman is, means incorporated. And later on lastly the verachan chikatsha is done. It is best for the pita shaman.
