My mom is 50 years old and she has cervical and my question is if she can use pillow while sleeping.
Use pillow if she sleeps mostly on her sides. Shoulder to head height should be compromised. If she sleeps mostly in supine or prone position, use a bed sheet in place of pillow. However, it all depends on how comfortable she is with all these modifications.
So practice different options and finalize her routine. That would be best.

If you keep ice that would help and along side you can do hot water fermentation. You shall use cervical collar which would help you to reduce the radiating pain ie. Due to the nerve compression.

Head pain is mostly due to cervical problem and sometimes it seems to be like migraine. Medicine don't work much in it, physiotherapy works best in these cases. Well it requires proper video examination of your neck movements and other details for perfect diagnosis and right treatment.
But still I am telling you some exercises for cervical spondylitis. Neck exercises: sit on chair or mat. 1. Strech your neck upwards (look upside) than downwards, 5 moves only. 2. Then look sideways (left - ri...more
