For 8 months baby you can give all solid foods that you are having provided less spicy and well cooked. Include fruit juices especially citrus fruits, pomegranate, grape and other seasonal fruit juices daily twice so that she will get adequate vitamin supply. Care should be taken to include nuts and pulses in her diet for protein. Ensure that you are including all types of pulses and nuts in her diet. Pulses is nothing but different types of dal and peas. You should include millet also in her diet like ragi which is rich in calcium. Give her arrow root powder porridge for healthy digestive system and also it is rich in starch. For energy you have to give her rice or rice dishes and wheat dishes if she is not having gluten allergy along with vegetables which is cooked and mashed. Even if you are including all these, the best food that you can give her is breast milk and you should continue breast feeding up to 2 yrs. There is no substitute for breast milk.
