Dr. I am a male weighing 93 kg height 5 ft 9 inch, suffering from high blood pressure which varies between 90-100 lower reading to 140-155 higher reading from past 1 year. I am taking baba ramdev mukta vati from 1 year but the readings of BP are same, 1. What other medicine should I go for. 2. Can I do high intensity exercise like rope skipping, weight lifting? 3 any health check ups, I should try. 4. Any other suggestions.

Hi, First you should keep track of bp and you should measure resting bp of atleast 10 min. Have low salt diet and regular exercises. You should get one ecg, renal function test, lipid profile, sugar tested. You shouldn't begin high intensity exercises abruptly rather you gradually increase your exercise and if tolerated then can gradually go up. I think if bp is high then medicine must be taken, I usually give Telmisartan to my patients in clinic.
