Hi, I am 26 years old. My wisdom teeth are trying to come out since long but they aren't. Actually it's been 7-8 years since it's trying to come out completely. Tooth 1 will start with inflammation and try coming out, will stop in a week or so then tooth 2 later 3rd and 4th following similar pattern. Then it will stop for 3-4 more months and the same pattern continues again. I being fed up recently consulted dentist, had an x-ray and she asked me to go for extraction of all those 4 tooths as there is not enough space for them to come out. They are fully grown Should I go ahead with it, 4 tooth extraction isn't small thing.

Hello lybrate-user Firstly, you are a brilliant person to figure out the pattern in which your toothache starts and ends. That is because your tooth moves in a span of time within your bone to come out, hence the pain and inflammation, it is a natural process. It takes nearly 2-3 months for the tooth to move slightly (in millimetres). So the pain comes after 2 or 3 months as you figured it out and stays for nearly a week. Having said that, you can get extractions of all your 4 wisdom teeth rituja if the pain is unbearable for you. Its not a big deal! Meanwhile make sure that you do warm saline rinses and maintain good oral health. Hope my answer helped you.
