I am male, from chennai. Now I am 48 years old and about 12 years back I underwent an ileastomy surgery, due to tb & ulcer and it has been closed after 2 months. Till date I am fine. No issues. But from the date of surgery, there is a swell in the right side of the abdomen area (hernia?) I am using an abdomen belt. And leading a normal life. I have two questions, for me hernia operations is compulsary? if I want to take a medical health insurance, should I need to disclose about my above surgery. Please advise.
