Hi Librate user Meditation can improve concentration power. For improving your concentration at first you should remove all the distractions from your study room. When you read a book try to understand it, then summarize it, and write it if needed repeat it. When you read a book and pick a new information try to associate it with another information you have already learnt, making such relation between same information will remember things easily. Never think you can't remember, you can remember only if you think -"YES I CAN" and accept this mentally. Try to do some recreational activities that involves both mind and body. Thanks.

Dear lybrate-user, There are several ways to improve your concentration. 1) Find a time during the day when your mind is at its most alert. It could be early morning, evening or night. 2) Find a place with minimal distractions (no sound, interference etc) 3) Plan ahead what you are planning to study for the day. Break it into chunks and set short-term goals. 4) In order to sustain attention, before starting to study, do an alphabet cancellation task in a newspaper article, where you may decide to cancel all 'p's in the article. Do this for 5-10 mins, before progressing to the actual studies. 5) Take a 10 min break after every 30 mins then resume studying. 6) When you find your attention wavering, start to read aloud/ start writing what you want to learn or say it aloud as if you are trying to explain it to someone. 7) Do revise whatever you learn within 9 hours. You will spend less time in next revision this way. All the best!
