We in ayurveda, take thyroid in agni mandhya (lack of metabolism). Its systemic disorder. There are good result of ayurveda, but result comes according to condition. We have some cases that has permanently cured. Some cases are stable with ayurved medicine. Some cases are on thyroxine + ayurveda medicne. Our (we & you) main aim is stay healthy. Mr hyperthyroidism can be cured by using radio active iodine, which is taken up by thyroid gland and hyperactive thyroid stops functioning. Usually one dose is sufficient but occasionally a repeat dose may have to be given. It is generally very safe drug. Since it stops thyroid function, that has to supplemented by thyroxine tablets daily. Once hyperactivity is controlled other problems will be in check.
