Please do not alter, modify, stop or change your medication in any way without the approval of your psychiatrist. As you have experienced, relapse is a common feature when treatment is stopped early. You should convey the side effects to your psychiatrist so that they can give you an alternative medication. Duration of treatment is dependent on the response to medication; hence it is difficult to estimate how long you will have to take it. Also, consider behavioral therapy and psychotherapy along with medication to achieve the best outcome.

Yes you need to continue medications for OCD fro many years, may be life long. As you said clomipramine produces severe sexual dysfunction, but now newer drugs with lesser of these side effects have come. Discuss with your psychiatrist freely and seek and try alternative medications. All the best.
