Diagnosed with dengue. Age 33 male High fever (2-4) consistently for 2 days. Dengue test day Platelet count 2 lac wbc 2500 Consistent fever of 2.5 2nd day Platelet count 1.9 lac wbc 2300 Consistent Fever 1.5 3rd day Platelet count 138000 wbc 1500 Consistent fever of 100 Taking plenty of fluids. Every half n hour liquid intake which includes electral, ORS, barley, water, papaya leaf juice 2 Tspn twice a day. Pomegranate juice. Now our GP, saw that he was having cough, and advised to take antibiotics ceftum 500 mg for chest congestion. But another GP advised strongly against it. So one dose on 2nd night was given. But no dose was given on 3rd day. Pls advise on the reason behind such a low wbc, and if there is anything to worry about.
