I have a thyroid of tsh 5.27 uiu/ml level, and taking Thyronorm 50. From last 10 days feeling very less energy and demotivated. No energy after work and I am married so sex life is not working as well due to less energy. Feel very sleepy after dinner so kindly let me know the remedies. Not feeling energetic at all.

Mr. lybrate-user, Since you have started treatment with thyroxine tablets (50 mcg), it will take some time get the TSH to desired level of 3 to 4 mU/L, when all the symptoms will start disappearing. Once on treatment TSH should come down to the above mentioned level, to be free from all the symptoms. Once that happens you will feel quite normal and healthy. Plus you should exercise regularly so that there is no weight gain, because hypothyroidism does lead to weight increase. Try and maintain a BMI of <23 kgs/M2. If you have any doubts please come back.
