Need to know your blood sugar level and the medicines you are taking. Regarding your diet eat fibrous food, green vegetables, avoid eating rice, potato, papaya, mango, banana. In general those substance which is sweet or seems to be sweet. Your main aim should be to keep the blood glucose level pp below 160-170. And you must make your diet plan such that the nutrients and energy which you will not get by avoiding sweet substance must be fulfill by other fruit, vegetables and fruit. i'm sorry to know that. keep a close monitoring of blood glucose and have regular anc visits so that the status of baby can be monitored. give healthy food, help her keep the blood glucose in control, light exercises, ask her to be active. take all the medications in time. with time, increase the visits, as the baby size increases in gestational diabetes and may cause problems. early delivery is needed. so keep that in mind. good luck.
