I had given my daughter typhoid vaccination when she was 2 years old. The doctor is now insisting that another typhoid vaccination was due when she was 5 years old. Is that compulsory?

Not compulsory, its your choice, but it is recommended, that typhoid vaccine should be taken every three years by all irrespective of age to increase the body resistance against typhoid.
