I suffer from tmj disorder (jaw popping) and also slight ringing in the ears. I have unerupted impacted wisdom teeth on all sides which are in bad position. I want to know, will removal of wisdom teeth reduce pressure on the tmj joint and prevent the jaw popping or other tmj problems from becoming worse? Is it a good idea to get the wisdom teeth removed if I have tmj disorder and will I get relief from it. Or at least prevent it from getting worse?
