Heart attack is due to blocked blood supply to the heart which can occur due to spontaneous blood clot or due to chronic formation of cholesterol plaques in the blood vessels supplying the heart.
The symptoms of heart attack are:
constricting pain the chest in the midline or on the left side of the chest and may get directed or radiated towards the left shoulder or neck or the left arm and left hand.
It is accompanied by profuse sweating.
It may be accompanied by nausea or vomiting but not always.
The person who gets a heart attack gets very anxious.
Prompt treatment and urgent hospital consultation is required if a heart attack is suspected.
