What mistake did I made that I got mucormycosis (i have it's symptoms but never went for diagnosis)? I'm a 24 year old male and I experienced 1st symptom of mucormycosis on the 10th day of fever from covid-19. I neither took steroids nor oxygen. I took vitamin c, zinc, pan d, azithro (11 days), doxycycline (9 days) and ivermectin (for 3 days) during my covid treatment. I don't know if I had diabetes or not. It is true that my covid-19 symptoms were serious I did had low oxygen (91-94) which started from day 8. I had 12 days fever (above 101 after day 8), lung tightness and low appetite.

I think the episode is quite old and you are brooding about different aspects of that sickness. Low level of natural immunity status of health , low Oxygen saturation are usual causes. Mucormycosis is fungal in origin which may be present in nasal cavity or might invade from atmosphere. Covid 19 being new disease. Its management was difficult due to lack of studies. Medical facilities were not at their best due to lack of preparedness. Approach to medication kept on changing. Some patients like you were fortunate.
