My doctor prescribed me nexito forte 10s for my anxiety, stress told me to take at night before sleep. But I do not feel any effects of the medicine which should make me feel good or less worries, none effects are been seen. It’s been a week I am taking the dosage. At times I even took 2 at once but it only makes me sleepy, yawning throughout the day but no relaxing or calming effect.

Dear Swapnil, Nexito forte is an antidepressant tablet. Please take only 10 mg tablet as prescribed. Sudden increase of dose causes more side effect and does NOT cause immediate relief. The escitalopram in Nexito forte takes 2-3 weeks to reach the brain where it has to act. Only after 3 weeks, if you don't get the desired effect, you need to increase the dose, may be 5 mg more for another 2-3 weeks. Not 20 mg. Please wait for 2 more weeks and consult your doctor. She/he may increase the dose or add another tablet or therapy, if necessary.

I would strongly suggest you to not get disheartened and impatient and continue taking the medication. Also, don't change the dosage on your own and only take the dose prescribed to you.
