What is the time interval to put TT injection for pregnant ladies? And how many injection for a delivery? My wife is 5 months pregnant now. So far we put only one in our first month.

Most of us have taken full initial immunisation in childhood including tetanus. During pregnancy we need only a booster dose to cover the period during delivery. So actually we need only one dose around the 6th month to cover the next 3-4 months till delivery. But most doctors prescribe 2 doses to additional safety, as per national immunisation program. First dose in 5th month and second dose in 7th month.

Two tt injections are needed in pregnancy with one month apert. If this is her second pregnancy within 5 years then she needs only one injection.
