My daughter is 6 months plus and she had a jerking seizure for few seconds and it repeated on 3 more occasions same day then we took her to the pediatrician and she given a shot of diazepam and it subsided and the was prescribed carbamazepine. Cbc and glucose levels okay but her blood sodium was low please can that possibly cause the jerking? We await result for eeg. Thanks you sir.

A low sodium level can lead to seizures but you should get her ionic calcium levels checked and wait for the eeg report. After that only it has to be decided whether to go for neuroimaging.

If you meet to a pediatrician then wait for your report. And after reports you will meet to a pediatric neurologist. For further workup.
