Hello lybrate user,
pain above the ankle around the outer side of leg is common after fast running.
It is due to spasm of a muscle called as tibialis anterior whose primary role is to pull the foot towards your body at the ankle joint.
So after running this movement by the muscle is repeated vigorously causing it to go into spasm and later pain.
