I have hashimoto hypothyroidism since last 10 year. I am taking eltroxin 112 mcg every day. At present my tsh level is 1.43. My question is :- 1.can I continue my current dose of eltroxin? 2. What is ideal tsh level should I maintain.

Hello, thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. Your current tsh level (1.43 mu/l) is well with in the normal range. It is usually recommended that tsh should be around 3 to 4 mu? Or with in the normal range mentioned in each labs report, which is around 0.5 to 5 mu/l with minor variation in upper limit. Another important aspect is one should be symptom free. So your current dosage is fine. However, please check the thyroid levels once in 6 months to see if those are in range. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.
