Hello, your case appears to be that of a failed root canal treatment (rct). Ideally, in an rct-treated tooth, there is no vital tissue or nerve that can cause pain. However, in your case, it seems as if the procedure was not done properly. Taking pain killers will only provide transient relief. Most likely, you will be required to undergo a re-rct followed by a cap, to get permanent riddance from this problem. Before initiating the re-rct, however, you will be required to take a 3-day course of medication. I suggest that you consult me privately so that I can understand your case better and prescribe the appropriate medications. Take care.
