Hello lybrate-user taking glycophage (metformin) even wen your blood sugar levels are normal is not mandatory. If you have a family history of diabetes or you r over weight, or habit of smoking and alcohol, you need to work out on your diet n activity. Increase your daily walks n avoid lifts. Avoid alcohol, no-veg, fried food, rice. You can start with glycophage if risk factors r there. Regards.
