Take over-the-counter painkiller medicine for throat pain. Do saline gargles twice a day. Antihistamines will be helpful. Increase your immunity by having healthy diet and some multivitamins. You might need antibiotics too. If more than 4- 5 episodes of tonsillitis in a year, consult ent doctor for surgical options.
