Good morning Dr. I am a 43 years old african american woman with a personal hx of htn (i had a seizure last year last year, due to sleep deprivation and stress. My neurologist has me taking keppra 500 mg bid. I haven?t had any additional seizures). I also have a personal hx of high cholesterol and my pcp has me taking the following meds: losartan, carvedilol, folic acid and nifedipine. My question: would I be a good candidate for drinking nettle tea? I am originally from the island national of haiti and often use herbal medicine/ remedies to treat and my previously mentioned conditions. Any feedback that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I of course plan to discuss this with my medical providers before taking it but I wanted to get your professional opinion. Any information that you provide would be greatly appreciated.
