Hi miss lybrate-user, hyperpigmentation is a broader term used for various skin conditions characterised by increased skin colour than the normal skin tone. Depending on the diagnosis, your dermatologist would have recommended you some topical creams. For regular skin care routine, you have to follow the ctm protocol. Ctm is cleansing, toning and moisturising the skin regularly in the day time and night before you sleep. As you have mentioned, yours is normal to oily skin type, I suggest you use a gel-based facewash, non-alcoholic toner, and a light weight moisturiser daily in the morning and before bed-time. Use a gel-based sunscreen 15 minutes before you step out in the sun and re-apply it every 3 hours for sun-protection. Use the sunscreen between 8 am to 5 pm, daily thrice, even on cloudy and rainy days. Use an umbrella or a hat to avoid direct sunlight in the afternoon. In addition, there are some adjunctive treatments like chemical peels and lasers that can be discussed with a dermatologist and considered. Hope this helps. Thank you.
