My father is 85 years old. He is taking regular bp medicines. His today's bp reading was 71/130. Should he discontinue the bp medicine or not.

Is it 130/70 or vice versa? If 130/70 no need ro stop take medicine as prescribed. Bp med is regulated never ever stopped. Never stop the medication if he develops dizziness or weakness consult your doctor and he will suggest if anything has to be done.
