I know it's better to sleep at least 7-8 hours. But being a working man I can only give 5 hours as I am preparing for competitive exams along with. Does it affect my mental strength or should I sleep more?

It varies from person to person. there is no rule that u should sleep for 6 or 7 hours. So if u feel energetic/ normal in day time with normal appetite n no added problem, then yes 5 hours are sufficient

Less sleep is likely to reduce your alertness and may also cause fatigue. So, don't economise on sleep.
