I am suffering from avascular necrosis since 2007. I have undergone muscle medical bone grafting operation (bi lateral) in 2009 by Dr. dp bakshi, kolkata. At present condition of my hip joint has deteriorated further and I cannot walk normally without having pain killer. Doctors from my country suggested to go for hip replacement operation. Can you please give an overall idea regarding the total procedure for operation? Like, how many days required to be in normal condition when I can walk, what may be the likely expenditure, what are the tests required for this operation etc.
