Capping is done when the condition of teeth is good.in old age the periodontium (gums and their attachments) gets weak and recession occurs which leads to movement of tooth. If all the teeth are present and their is no mobility then capping may be an option. If few teeth are present then go for rpd, cd or implant after extraction of those teeth.
