I am a 20 years old male, before 4 months I was having anxiety attacks and other symptoms, but after taking antidepressant medications such as (clomipramine and escitalopram) the symptoms and the anxiety attacks disappeared, no more anxiety attacks. But is there any chance if I have pheochromocytoma? Would the symptoms disappear by antidepressants if I have pheochromocytoma?

Dear Meer, Don't read from the net - anxiety symptoms can occur in plenty of disorders. If you read about diagnosis, you will become anxious. It is for the doctors to study and diagnose differentially and treat. You are lucky you got your doctor diagnose and treat you. If you try that, you will think of the worst. Try to reduce your weight instead instead of worrying about pheochromocytoma.

Hello , Why did you think do you have pheochromocytoma? I am guessing you may have searched it in internet for the causes of anxiety and panic attacks, and you must have gotten worried about it. There are multiple other symptoms alongwith pheochromocytoma, if they are present then we should change the treatment. And the anti-depressants are not going to improve the issue of anxiety like symptoms in pheochromocytoma, infact the disease has to be treated with other medications, improvement of which will lead to improvement in anxiety like symptoms. So if you have got improvement in anxiety symptoms with anti-depressants, then it will probably be issue of anxiety disorder only. If your anxiety gets very troublesome, you can freely contact me in private or by telephone call. I can help you in that way. Thank you,
