Melacare cream contains topical steroid, hence is prescribed by doctors for certain conditions for a short duration of time. Its is not to be applied without supervision. The darkening of the face is probably due to the side effect of the melacare applied for a longer period of time and has lead to tsdf- topical steroid damaged face. The skin becomes darker, thin and excessive hair growth can occur. So I advice you to stop using thw cream and kindly consult a dermatologist.

Hello Lybrate user ,it's always advisable to wear such creams under supervision of a dermatologist because there are chances of hyperpigmentation if proper photoprotection isn't used ,connect with pictures for further evaluation ,thank you.
